Parker's Holiday Season Starts on the River and Ends on Joshua Avenue

November 5, 2026

On the 2026 Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce calendar, every big gathering from mid-November through November 28 is on the Parker Strip. The calendar then moves into town for the first two weekends of December, and the second of those weekends belongs to a market the Chamber has never held before.

If you live in Parker, that pattern answers the planning questions that matter: which Saturday Riverside Drive fills up, which evenings to spend at the water, and when to come into town. Every date below is listed for 2026 on the Parker Regional Chamber events calendar.

The weekend two crowds share the Strip

The fall's first overlap lands in mid-November. The Parker 4 Wheelers' Desert Splash runs Thursday, Nov. 12, through Saturday, Nov. 14. The Arizona Drag Boat Association's Drag Boat Finals run Friday, Nov. 13, through Sunday, Nov. 15.

That gives you two days, Friday and Saturday, when an off-road club event and a boat racing final happen at the same time, with both crowds staying along the river:

  1. Desert Splash, Nov. 12 to 14. The Parker 4 Wheelers list trail leaders, organized driving challenges, the club's P4W Rock Obstacle, a banquet dinner, raffles and giveaways. Organized runs go out Friday and Saturday, and participants dry camp at La Paz County Park, 7350 Riverside Dr.
  2. The vehicle rules. Full-size 4WD vehicles and buggies are allowed. SXS machines and dirt bikes are not. That means the rigs you see on the road from Nov. 12 to 14 are mostly full-size trucks and buggies.
  3. ADBA Drag Boat Finals, Nov. 13 to 15, on the beach at BlueWater Resort and Casino, according to the Chamber's event page.
  4. Saturday night at Sundance. The Chamber calendar also lists Shine on Floyd at Sundance on Saturday, Nov. 14, so the busiest night of the overlap ends with live music at the same saloon where the boat parade finishes two weeks later.

If you just need to get somewhere on the Strip, aim for Thursday the 12th, before the drag boat weekend starts, or Sunday the 15th, after Desert Splash has packed up.

One Riverside Drive address, twice in November

The address 7350 Riverside Dr. keeps showing up on the November calendar. Desert Splash campers stay at La Paz County Park there. Pirates Den uses the same street address, and that's where the month's next holiday event happens.

On Monday, Nov. 23, Crafty Creations hosts a paint party called "Truck and Tree" at Pirates Den from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The organizer's event listing gives the full address as 7350 Riverside Dr., Parker, AZ 85344. The Chamber files it under Festivals & Celebrations, Arts & Culture, Community and Holiday. It lands on a Monday evening in Thanksgiving week.

So in the same month, one stretch of Riverside Drive hosts both a three-day off-road campout and a two-hour craft evening with a holiday theme. That stretch of riverfront handles a lot of the season's events.

Saturday, Nov. 28: the river's last big night of the year

The Strip's season peaks on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The annual Lighted Boat Parade runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 28. The Chamber's listing names the La Paz County Sheriff's Department as host, with the route starting at Cienega Springs and ending at Sundance Saloon.

The boats run upriver. The Parker Pioneer's 2025 preview described the same route: decorated boats leave the Cienega Springs boat ramp at 6:30 p.m. and head up the Colorado River to finish at the Sundance Saloon. That year the Pioneer credited the La Paz County Sheriff's Office and the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce & Tourism with sponsoring and organizing it.

Because the route has one start and one finish, the boats pass different parts of the Strip at different times. People near Cienega Springs see the start of the parade at 6:30. People closer to Sundance see it as the boats come in toward the finish. Sundance also has the Strip's steadiest weeknight event: the Chamber calendar lists Sundance Line Dancing every Thursday in November, including Thanksgiving night, two days before the parade.

After Nov. 28, the Chamber calendar lists no more big river events for the year, and the remaining holiday dates belong to the Town, the Chamber and a local motorcycle club.

Then the calendar moves into town

The first December weekend is the Town of Parker's. The Christmas Tree Lighting is Saturday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The Chamber's page lists it as a Town event and, for now, just says "Save the Date," with no location yet.

The next morning, Sunday, Dec. 6, is the River Runners M/C Toy Run, which the club's Chamber listing calls the 43rd Annual Toy Drive. Details are available by phone at 928-486-5714. Forty-three years makes the Toy Run one of the longest-running traditions on this winter's calendar.

The new event comes a week later. On Saturday, Dec. 12, the Chamber holds its first-ever Mistletoe Market on Joshua, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. in Downtown Parker and the Joshua Street Mall. The Chamber tags it with nearly every category it has: Festivals & Celebrations, Arts & Culture, Community, Chamber Events, Holiday, Clubs/Organizations, Party, Sale, Family Entertainment and Crafts/Food/Market.

Join us, the Chamber of Commerce, for our first-ever Mistletoe Market on Joshua.

The market is daytime and the tree lighting is in the evening, so the two downtown Saturdays offer different things. Dec. 5 is a dusk event. Dec. 12 is an afternoon on Joshua that ends at 5.

With the market added, the season gives Parker three straight Saturdays with a holiday event: the river on Nov. 28, then town on Dec. 5 and Dec. 12. The Toy Run fills the Sunday in between. The Chamber calendar lists no holiday event after Dec. 12, so the Mistletoe Market closes out the season.
